Pastor Robert Cobb
Born April 24, 1942, in Mobile County, I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior at Georgetown Baptist Church at the age of 14. Called to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in 1966, I acquired my formal education at Baptist Bible Institute, which is now Florida Bible Collage. I was ordained to the Gospel ministry at Pine Level Baptist Church, Jay on March 26th, 1972 in Jay, Florida where I began my pastoral ministry.
I have served churches in Alabama and Florida for the past 41 years, which includes 10 years on the radio as "Voice In The Wilderness."
As founding pastor, I have served Faith Baptist Church, Wilmer, Alabama, for the past twenty years.
Married, March 14th, 1964, I have lived happily with my beautiful wife, Betty Lane Andrews of Crichton, Alabama, for over 50 years. Betty and I have lived in the Wilmer area of Mobile County for the past 35 years.
As our Music Director, Doreen is a vital member of our Worship Service.
She earned an Associates degree from Alabama Christian College and a Bachelor's of Art in Education from David Lipscomb University in Tennessee. She taught school for 35 years until she retired. Through it all she has tried to serve God and her fellow man. She gives thanks to Him for his love, mercy and grace.
